The Lower Phi Lift: A Non-Surgical Approach to Lifting the Lower Face

Combining treatments is one of the most powerful ways to enhance the transformative potential of non-invasive procedures. By taking a holistic view of your goals and concerns, we’re able to design a customized, research-backed treatment plan that optimizes every aspect of your result.

The Lower Phi Lift is a non-surgical approach developed by our physicians to rejuvenate and lift the lower face, addressing the visible and structural signs of aging with precision and artistry.

What is a Lower Phi Lift?

At Philosophy MD, the Lower Phi Lift integrates three clinically proven modalities into a single, harmonized session:

  • Ultherapy® for deep structural lifting
  • Xeomin® to soften dynamic lines and downward pull
  • Radiesse® to restore volume and stimulate collagen production

Together, these technologies work beneath the surface to strengthen the skin’s support structure and trigger collagen renewal. The treatment provides both immediate refinement through Xeomin and Radiesse, and progressive, long-term lifting through the regenerative effects of Ultherapy.

The result is refined definition, smoother contours, and a more lifted, youthful appearance without surgery or extended downtime.

The Lower Phi Lift Targets Both Surface and Structural Aging

Aging affects the skin at multiple levels. Beyond surface changes such as texture and fine lines, deeper shifts occur as collagen diminishes and bone resorption subtly alters facial contours. These structural changes can contribute to the appearance of jowling, laxity, and a softened jawline.

The multi-modal synergy of Ultherapy, Xeomin, and Radiesse addresses these concerns comprehensively. By stimulating collagen and elastin production, replenishing lost volume, and refining surface texture, the Lower Phi Lift restores definition and balance to the lower face.

The Three Pillars of the Lower Phi Lift

Ultherapy®: Structural Lifting and Collagen Renewal

Ultherapy is the gold-standard ultrasound treatment for non-surgical skin tightening. It uses focused ultrasound energy to precisely target the deeper structural layers of the skin that topical treatments cannot reach.

By gently heating these foundational tissues, Ultherapy stimulates robust collagen and elastin production, counteracting the effects of gravity and age-related collagen loss. Over the months following treatment, as new collagen forms, patients often notice a tighter, more lifted jawline and neck with improved overall tone. Some early improvement may be visible, but the most pronounced results typically develop between three and six months after treatment.

Xeomin®: Softening Dynamic Lines and Enhancing Lift

Xeomin, a purified neuromodulator, helps to smooth expression lines and soften the visible effects of muscle pull in the lower face and neck. Targeted injections reduce the appearance of marionette lines, platysmal bands, and downward-turning corners of the mouth, all of which contribute to an aged or fatigued expression.

When paired with Ultherapy and Radiesse, Xeomin refines the skin’s surface and enhances the overall lifting effect, creating a naturally balanced and refreshed appearance without rigidity or overcorrection.

Radiesse®: Collagen Stimulation and Structural Support

Radiesse is a biostimulatory injectable composed of calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in a smooth gel. Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, which provide immediate but temporary volume, Radiesse stimulates the body to produce its own collagen and elastin, rebuilding skin structure from within.

This makes it particularly effective for addressing the visible effects of bone resorption and soft-tissue volume loss along the cheeks, jawline, and lower face. As new collagen forms over the following months, skin regains firmness, elasticity, and lift, resulting in smoother, more sculpted contours that can last up to two years or longer.

Lower Phi Lift vs. Gold Protocol: Choosing the Right Approach for Neck Rejuvenation

If your primary concern is thinning or crepey skin on the neck, your physician may recommend an alternative treatment such as the Gold Protocol.

This advanced regimen combines hyaluronic acid, a biostimulator, and hyper-diluted neuromodulator in one treatment, delivered through a precise microinjection technique that focuses on improving texture and hydration. The Gold Protocol enhances surface smoothness and radiance while stimulating longer-term collagen renewal. Visible softening and blurring of crepiness typically appear within two weeks, followed by progressive tightening and rejuvenation over the months ahead.
