Artist in Residence
As a space to celebrate beauty in all its unique forms, Philosophy MD is pleased to present our Artist in Residence program. On a rotating basis, we'll spotlight a talented local artist, whose selected works will be showcased throughout the clinic and available for purchase. We're delighted to take this opportunity to inspire our visitors while supporting the local arts community.

Lindsay aims to create art that is both playful and provocative, challenging the viewer's imagination and curiosity. Lindsay is inspired by minimalist design and love for decadent food imagery. Her passion for art and interest in the visual appeal of food leads her to experiment with mixed media, recreating the textures of dripping ice creams, melting popsicles, and thickly-iced cakes.
Lindsay is inspired by the simplicity of minimalist design. This newfound interest, combined with her love for decadent food imagery, has culminated in her current work. These pieces feature hydrocal, a strong plaster-like compound which is poured into molds to create replicas of food and other objects. She initially experimented with faux mixed media “toppings” such as varnish icing, plaster sprinkles, and spackle whipped cream. She discovered that nothing could beat the look of the hydrocal itself, which has a beautiful matte ceramic-like finish.
Lindsay aims to create art that is both playful and provocative, challenging the viewer’s imagination and curiosity. While the figures in her pieces may be literal, the absence of color and the bare design allows for personal interpretation and reflection.
Lindsay enjoys spending time with her kids and dog, who sometimes find themselves as reluctant props in her art photo shoots. Her unique perspective, shaped by her experiences as a physician and an artist, shines through in her captivating and introspective works of art.
